The Puppets Complete!
One big happy family!
Looking pervily out Gary's window...checking out some babes down below.
Once the video is complete, I'll post it along with some behind the scenes photos. Don't want Lady Gaga stealing the video premise, or elements of it before it's ready to hit the public.

Green Guy Bomber Jacket
Saturday, March 26, 2011
Shooting begins for the music video next weekend (April 2nd and 3rd) so everything's in the process of gettin' done!!!
Here's where we're at with puppets and props!
Gary's added noses and started costumes for the puppets as well as making a tree guy, and some fake rocks among other things. I've been adding arms and legs after I got all the eye lid fabrics on. Katie gave Green puppet a fabulous green yarn hair-do!
Green guy's coming together. He will have a flowery bandana, and bomber jacket with fur collar when complete.
Red guy sporting a rad yarn weave, and the beginnings of a flouncy shirt.
Blue Guy is now Blue Lady with luscious lips...
Yellow guy lookin a little pervy, but still rad.
Tree guy looking very tree like
Rock dude who's gonna be checkin' out all the puppets!

Blue Dude getting Blue-d
I started covering the 4th and final puppet this weekend...the blue one.
He's so ginormous though that I'm not quite done. His top is done, but I still have 3 more seams on the bottom to finish up hopefully tomorrow night. Almost there though!
He's much huge-er than the others.
His mouth looks a little wonky here, but don't worry...it's just how I have the fur folded under. It's not glued down yet, so it'll be perfectly symmetrical when it's all said and done.
The gang!

Green Guy Fabric-ed
The Green guy was covered in fabric this weekend. Here's how it all went down:
So first off...instead of faux fur, this little guy is being covered in Antron Fleece. It's different than regular fleece you'd be able to buy in a fabric store. Antron Fleece is what's used for professional puppets because of it's ability to hide seams (as will be shown later)
Step one...I wrapped the piece of fleece around the puppet, and cut out holes for the eyes and mouth, then sewed up the back seam. The top and bottom then had a bunch of excess fabric like thus:
I created 4 darts to form the fabric around the curvy bum and head, and then pinned the darts.
Pins:
I cut off the excess fabric above the pins
I pinned one side of the fleece to the puppet
Then I folded over the edge of the other side
and then pinned it down to line up with the other edge
Then I stared sewing back and forth, stretching the fabric to overlap somewhat to make it super tight!
Here's the top of the head almost complete
Aaaaaaand complete
The magical aspect of Antron Fleece, is that when you pick at the seams with a pin, they will be disguised and unseen!!!
Complete! I took the electrical tape off of one eye, that's why he looks a little funky...
No worries though, the eyes will be finished later.
